Today, in the Kitakoyasu area of Kimitsu City, a person claiming to be a relative such as a grandchild said, "I lost my documents in the bathroom of a coffee shop. I need money." The caller stated, "I lost my documents in the bathroom of a coffee shop and I need money.
Be wary of calls that use the words "money," "cash card," or "ATM," or that ask for personal or account information. As a security measure, take measures such as setting your phone to answering machine or locking your house even when you are at home.
If you feel that something is wrong, please hang up the phone and call the Kimitsu Police Station.
