Let's make bamboo lighting with your own hands by processing bamboo cut down from the riverbank maintenance of Koito River. All tools and materials are provided. Please bring only hand gloves to prevent slipping. You can take home one bamboo light （ including LED light ） that you made by yourself. Please enjoy it as an interior decoration of your home.

The event will be held at the Seiwa Welcome House, a community space renovated by Community Seiwa, utilizing a vacant store at the top of Mt. Experienced participants will be asked to create bamboo lights for display at the event and help beginners （ Rewarded ）. Let's join forces and energize Kimitsu with bamboo lights ～ ！

What is Bamboo Light ：
Bamboo light is made by making a hole in bamboo and putting a light bulb or LED inside. Bamboo with a diameter of 9 cm or more, such as moso bamboo, is mainly used. Bamboo has long been used as a lighting device with candles and other objects placed inside. In some cases, bamboo is simply cut, while in other cases, the outer skin is peeled off or otherwise processed. Bamboo lights are used to light the way on the road, at festivals such as shrines and temples, and for personal interior decoration. Among the many types of bamboo lights, one in particular, in which a hole is drilled in the bamboo and lighted, is called a "bamboo light.
