Today, many suspicious phone calls have been received in Kimitsu City, claiming to be from police officers, stating that "We caught two criminals," "The criminals are from the bank," "Your name was on the list that the criminals had," "Do you have your cash card at home," "Is there anyone else in your house at the moment?
We have received many such calls. In addition to these types of calls, be aware of words such as "money," "cash card," and "ATM," as well as attempts to get personal or account information.
As a precautionary measure, set your phone to go to voicemail even when you are at home, or use a number notification service.
If you suspect that someone is acting strangely, hang up the phone and call the Kimitsu Police Station.
