Suspicious phone calls

The Kimitsu Police Department would like to inform you of a [Telephone Deception] Alert.
Suspicious phone calls have been received in Kimitsu City, claiming to be from NTT or other phone companies.
The caller was given automatic guidance, saying, "Your cell phone will be out of service by the end of the day. Please press '1' to confirm." This is what it says.
In addition to these types of calls, beware of calls asking for personal information or requesting money or e-money.
As a precautionary measure, set your phone to go to voicemail even when you are at home, or use the International Caller ID Reception Center.
If you feel that something is wrong, hang up the phone and call the Kimitsu Police Station.
