In 2024, the 25th anniversary of their debut, Tsugaru shamisen virtuoso, Yoshida Brothers will perform at the Kimitsu Civic Cultural Hall. Yoshida brothers.
Born in Noboribetsu City, Hokkaido. Both started learning the shamisen at the age of 5 and studied under Tsugaru shamisen player Takashi Sasaki I from 1990.
He made his major debut in 1999 with the album "Ibuki".
He had an unprecedented hit in the Japanese music world, and since his debut in 2003, he has performed all over the world and actively collaborated with various artists both in Japan and abroad.
In 2015, his song "PRANA" was released in collaboration with the "Naruto Exhibition" and became a huge hit. Ryo Kaegoro has also started a new ・ pure Japanese music unit "WASABI", which focuses on school performances using typical Japanese instruments, and Ken Kaegoro began teaching Tsugaru shamisen at the Barcelona High School Music Academy as part of his stay in Barcelona, Spain ・ as a cultural exchange student of the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs in 2015.
In 2017, he sang "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" as the theme song for the Japanese dubbed version of the movie "KUBO: The Secret of Two Strings" (Academy Award nominated film). Also provided the background music "Cool Spiral" for the parkour video by Red Bull ・ athlete Jason ・ Paul, which has been replayed approximately 30 million times.
In 2019, the Yoshida brothers × provided the theme song for the Tom-H@ck CYALUME DANCE WORLD BATTLE, "Rai -IKAZUCHI-" for the wotagei/syalume dance world championship.
Served as the opening performer for the "Tokyo 2020 One Year Before the Olympic Games Ceremony "1Year to Go!
Co-produced and released "GIBIATE", the anime opening theme song for the "GIBIATE\" project, which was broadcast from July 2020, with SUGIZO, the guitarist of LUNA SEA and X JAPAN.
In the same year, they held a special 20th anniversary performance "Yoshida Theater 2020" with the theme of "co-creating a new tradition to be inherited 100 years later and bequeathing it to the future", collaborating with MIYAVI, H ZETTRIO, Hua Zhu, and Creepy Nuts.
Co-produced "Until This Dream Awakens feat. Yoshida Brothers" with Miliyah Kato as the ending theme song for the TV animation "Mashiro no Otoko" which aired from April, 2021. She also supervised the Tsugaru Shamisen for the same anime.
And this year, they started their first attempt at a full-length live performance using only instruments and the echoes of the hall, "Debut 25th Anniversary 47+1 Prefectures Tour Yoshida Brothers - Kyokusei -".
